Oil Springs 160th - JULY 19 2025>
In 1865, The Village of Oil Springs was incorporated following the discovery of the first Commercial Oil Well in North America by James Miller Williams. Over the course of the following 160 years, the history of our Village impacted the world. Our drillers travelled to places far and wide, sharing their technology, tools and expertise, and the jerker line pumping system, which allows multiple wells to be pumped from a single power source, was developed here.
We hope you can join us for this special occasion to celebrate our storied past.
